Diving sites

It is the best representation of Indian Ocean’s fauna and Flora that divers can admire all-around of Mauritius. With its volcanic origin, diving sites also have remarkable rock formations while the reefs serve as shelter for a multitude of fish species. Diving sites around Flic en Flac have the advantage of being mostly protected from wind and the calm waters provide enjoyable dives.
In front of the hotel, discover a scree covered with corals which is home to fish-banks (fusiliers, mullets, groupers, butterflyfish, moray eels, and scorpion fish) at a depth of 9-20 metres.

TugAt 20 metres of depth, you will discover the rest of a tugboat sank in 1982 on a sandbar which suited as an artificial reef. The shipwreck is full of fish and invertebrate species like the sand eel, and the leaf fish.

CathedraleThis is the most famous diving site on the island and it has a depth of 17 to 30 metres located just 10 minutes away from the diving centre. You will have the opportunity to discover a reef covered with fire corals, walls, caves, chimneys and a variety of fish species (squirrelfish, red lionfish, jackfish, tunas), shrimps and lobsters.

Rempart SerpentA dive of 24 to 26 metres. This is a relatively small reef which shelters immobile and hidden predators (scorpion fish, groupers, moray eels, sole fish…) and is usually visited by rays and fish of all kinds.

StellaThis former fishing boat became artificial reef concealed at a depth 38 metres offering all the charm of coral life.

CassavaA deep dive of 40 to 50 metres in the middle of a unique coral formation and sea fans with a beautiful crayfish cave frequently visited by jackfish and tunas.
